"A" & "V"

One of the most neglected age for child photography is the elementary age child and this is one of my favorite ages to photograph. Kids are so engaging and fun at this age. They come up with awesome ideas and love to be involved in the whole process. Such as with these 2. We had a blast during their photo session for their 10 and 8 year milestones. Why settle for the school headshot being the only formal photographs when you can have memories like these?

Forest Wedding

Perfect day for a beautiful wedding. Up until the morning of the wedding was 80% chance of rain all day, not good for a wedding in the forest. Not a drop all day. We were so blessed. I was so looking forward to this wedding and couldn't imagine having to move it inside. Thankfully we didn't have to. There was so much joy in this day and so many smiles. Two people head over heals in love and I got to be a part of it. I love my job. Thanks Sadie and Jay!

Sadie & Jay

Another amazing engagement session with Sadie & Jay. People always ask me what my favorite session is and I have to say engagement sessions are ranked right up there. I love the anticipation in their upcoming wedding and the way they look at each other, all the little giggles. This is probably one of the happiest times in their lives and one of the most fun photo shoots for me. For those reasons I was really looking forward to this session and these two didn't disappoint me.

KOKO Fit Club 168th & Harrison

I had the pleasure of photographing Tim and Keely Frame, owners of Koko fit club in Omaha. Two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They have these machines called "smart trainers" and they are... well, smart. While I was there I had the opportunity to try it out and ,no kidding, I am a workout hater, (with evidence to prove it) but I  may have been converted. It was actually fun and easy. I spoke with Tim about my desire to  get in shape and explained to him that I have a crossbow machine, treadmill and AB lounge gathering dust in my basement. He asked me "what keeps you from using it" and honestly, it's frustrating and I never knew if I was doing it right. I had considered a personal trainer but the expense kept me from going that route. Koko is set up to take the guess work out of it. Like having a personal trainer at a fraction of the cost. It was so easy and simple that I wondered if it really did anything. 24 hours later my muscles are saying "oh yeah" but in a good way! So I joined and I am actually looking forward to going again. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of starting an exercise  program.

Persistence pays off

I met Emory when she was 3 weeks old. Her family has become like family to me. They have been an incredible blessing to me. Every 3 months for 3 years we have met for her milestone pictures. She has been on my business cards, website, promotional material, etc. Some of my favorite pictures are of her. No small feat considering she cried everytime. So who is this smiling 3 year old that came in to my studio? So grown up!  I don't know if it was becoming a big sister or just turning 3,or maybe she finally likes me.

Bunny day was a huge success!

Cute kids and bunnies! What more could a photographer ask for? It was so much fun to watch all the kids with the bunnies. They were all so excited. I was a little worried that we might have pulled tails and bit fingers but not so. Even the babies were very gentle with the bunnies. And we did have awesome bunnies provided by country dream acres  . Thank you Diane for letting them spend the day with us. (by the way,the bunnies are for sale) . The best part was meeting all the new families. I hope this is the beginning of years of working with you. Thanks everyone for helping to make the 1st bunny day a huge success!

Who is photos by liz

Photos by liz is an Omaha photographer specializing in preserving your memories. No "cheese" here. My goal is to capture the real you. In every session we will strive to create images that are different and unique, candids and posed ,not stiff and uncomfortable.  Whether you are looking for someone to photograph your wedding, your baby, your senior or your family. I hope that every session is one of a kind. Even though I have favorite ideas I seldom have a firm game plan. I like to see what unfolds. I heard once that a photograph is a conversation between the photographer and the subject, come talk to me.
